weird traditions
Think about it. People all over the world get together to scream at the top of their lounges at 12:00 at night on Jan 1st. We blow out candles years after our birth to celebrate it. Black Friday is a time for people to lose all common sense and mow people down to get the better deal. What causes people to repeat these traditons year after year? I'm not saying I don't like some of these traditions but seriously don't you wonder what or who started them? And shaking hands, who ever came up with that! Think about it hard, its messed up. And who in their right mind would gather together to start riots and get drunk every year at Marty Graw(I have no clue how to spell that). So there are my random thoughts for the day. Happy New Year!

Hmm... interesting. I've been kind of thinking about that, too--why do we celebrate what we celebrate? Like, if we celebrate Jesus' birth, but don't know the exact day, why don't we celebrate something like Creationmas? If we have St. Patrick's Day, why are all the other saints generally ignored throughout the year? And what is up with birthdays? Like you say, I enjoy this, but it is a little goofy.
